Help for Leigh Adams - 10 times speedway champion

by DC 15. July 2011 05:01

Leigh Adams is a 10 times Australian speedway champion and he raced in the world championship for about 15 years, winning multiple GP's before returning to Australia about 6 months ago. He's basically the Peter Brock of speedway in Australia! He sustained serious injuries from an off-road motorcycle accident while training for the Finke Desert Race a few weeks ago. Now he has a long rehab road in front of him, with wife and two kids as well.

Leigh is a die hard racer and not short of friends in the F1 paddock including Sam Michael, Mark Webber and Norbert Ockenga. With the kind help of others, they've managed to pull together some really great items to auction to raise money for his rehab. Williams put up a piece on it last weekend and a few other websites followed which was great : http://www.attwilliams.com/news/view/1870

As of just now, the online auction, including some impossible to get F1, DTM & WTCC items, is up and running. It will go for 10 days - with the items due to finish throughout the Saturday and Sunday of the Nurburgring GP weekend. You'll see by the link below that bidding is already going well.

It would be great if any fans of F1 and motor sport in general could take a look and contribute if you can.
